What is 18/10 Stainless Steel?

18/10 is the finest quality stainless steel available. Arthur Price only ever uses this metal to make our cutlery, which means far greater stain and rust resistance, as well as cutlery keeping its shine for longer. The numbers refer to 18% chromium and 10% nickel content.

Is my cutlery dishwasher safe?

All Arthur Price cutlery is dishwasher safe, including our Arthur Price of England silver plated cutlery. We recommend you use a gentle detergent and ensure the rinse agent is topped up.

How should I care for my silver plated cutlery?

It's a myth that silver plated is difficult to look after. Arthur Price of England's 'best' silver cutlery has been designed for everyday use and the more regularly you use it the easier it is to care for. Follow these few simple guidelines:

  • Exposure to sulphur in the atmosphere and certain foods such as sprouts, egg and fish can cause tarnishing. To reduce tarnishing wash as soon as possible after use and store in your cutlery cabinet.
  • Avoid immersing in water and a damp atmosphere for prolonged periods.
  • Detergents and rinse agents containing lemon are not recommended.
  • Avoid using scouring pads and abrasive sponges.
  • An occassional and quick polish with our excellent Easy-Care range of products will keep your cutlery in peak condition.
