The Bead pattern was originally designed by Huguenot silversmiths to represent pearls, which were popular in the French court of the 1760s.

This pattern was commissioned by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, the 2nd Duke of Westminster during the early 19th century.

Kings
Kings is a direct descendant of an older pattern called Fiddle Thread and Shell. This particular adaptation first appeared around 1817 and is still enormously popular today.

Old English
Old English evolved in the 1750s from the Rattail pattern. The 'pip' seen on the front of the fork handle appears on the reverse of the spoon because, in the Georgian era, spoons would have been laid face down on the table.
