Sheriff of Lichfield 2009-2010

In April 2009 Simon was appointed the 456th Sheriff of Lichfield. Highlights in the year of official civic duties included leading the historic Sheriff's Ride around the city and surrounding counrtyside.

The ride originated in 1553, when Queen Mary's Charter created the office of Sheriff of Lichfield.

During the 12 months of holding the role Simon also raised money for the charity, Help for Heroes. This including donating a proportion of the profits from one of the Arthur Price Factory Shop sales.
