Arthur Price unveils cutting edge Victoriana at Harrods
An amazing discovery was recently made while we were renovating our warehouse. After nearly 160 years, packed away and forgotten by all, we unearthed an extraordinary pair of giant scissors.
The 3ft tall scissors were made specially for the Great Exhibition in 1851 and were the largest ever made. They feature ornate engraving to commemorate the Great Exhibition, a celebration of modern Britsih industry and commerce.
As a fitting conclusion to this fascinating story, we'll be displaying the scissors for a second time, exclusively at Harrods. The public will once again have the opportunity to admire the craftsmanship and quality which were hallmarks of Victorian manufacturing and continue to be core values upheld by Arthur Price today.
And should you feel inspired to own this unique piece of history, they can be bought for a snip at just £40,000.
