What a way to wind up winter at Arthur Price
February has been a fantastic month for Arthur Price so far – and it’s not even over yet! From 5th – 9th February at the NEC in Birmingham, the 2017 Spring Fair took place, the UK’s number one Home and Gift Show. Arthur Price was there for the 42nd time, having attended as an exhibitor every year since 1976.Arthur Price staff members were there in force, with sales teams, production and warehousing all in attendance, highlighting the event’s importance and value. This year, they were there to officially launch the Sophie Conran Dune range and to showcase the brand new silverware ranges of Cascade and Despicable Me, both of which will be unveiled on the Arthur Price website very soon.
The stand’s guests of honour included Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who designed one of our best-selling Arthur Price ranges, aptly named ‘Llewelyn-Bowen by Arthur Price’, along with several minions to celebrate the new Despicable Me range. Miss England was also in attendance, there to celebrate all things British with our thoroughly British brand.Providing Arthur Price with another reason to celebrate was the Housewares Innovation Awards, held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on Monday 6th February. This prestigious annual event recognises and rewards the UK’s most outstanding retailers and suppliers, and Arthur Price was honoured to be presented with an award.
Arthur Price was announced as winner of the Service Award sponsored by Aspin, presented by Si King and Dave Myers, better known as the Hairy Bikers – it was an extremely proud moment for the team, with a Housewares Innovation Award an independent stamp of endorsement, highlighting the quality available at Arthur Price. Event manager Laurie Marrington commented: ‘All of the finalists showed commitment to developing new and exciting solutions which deliver significant advancements in performance, customer service, products and shop fronts. In order to make such achievements you also need talented individuals and our industry has its fair share of these – congratulations to all winners and highly commended in the 2017 Housewares Innovation Awards!’
Following on from the awards and the Spring Fair was Ambiente, leading international trade fair for consumer goods. Held in Frankfurt from 10th – 14th February, the latest design trends and innovations were on show for 136,000 trade visitors from 143 countries, with over 4,000 exhibitors from almost 100 countries showcasing their latest product ideas. For 2017, Ambiente’s country theme was Britain – British icon Elizabeth Hurley was in attendance visiting British brands, including Arthur Price!
